Baxter Has ‘Spine’: Meredith Baxter (late of TV’s “Family Ties”) will star in the world premiere of “Spine,” a new play by Bill C. Davis, who wrote the stage play and screenplay for “Mass Appeal.” Davis also will direct the production, set to open Sept. 27 at the Cast Theatre in Hollywood. The play chronicles a woman’s attempt to lead her family through a life-threatening crisis.
