NO SWEAT: Superior Court Judge Robert R. Fitzgerald took it in stride Friday that the Court of Appeal threw out his 45-year sentence for Vincent W. Acosta, 23, convicted of murder in the 1987 deaths of two police officers and an observer chasing him in a helicopter that crashed with another chopper. . . . The court ruled, 2-1, that the car thief was not criminally responsible for what happened in the air. Fitzgerald would only say: “I did notice there was a dissenting opinion from one intelligent human being.”
