Quest for Funds: Real estate analyst Sanford Goodkin has joined with two partners to start a firm dedicated to finding overseas and domestic pension-fund financing for cash-starved builders whose traditional sources of funding--banks and thrifts--have turned off the tap.
Goodkin, who does a lot of work for Orange County builders and developers, isn’t severing ties with his old firm, the Peat, Marwick Goodkin Group in La Jolla.
Goodkin said he and partners Michael P. Kahn and Allan R. Koretz are keeping the offices of Goodkin, Kahn & Associates in San Diego, but that they expect to do a lot of business in Orange County, where many of the Southland’s largest builders are headquartered.
