Reducing the Wetlands

Three years ago in a televised speech, George Bush solemly proclaimed that his great wish was to be known as the “environmental” President.
True to form, as when we were told to “read my lips,” his great wish now is for a 10% reduction of the nation’s endangered wetlands. George Bush has worked hard to become the “subdividing” President.
I guess if you’ve seen one wetland, you’ve seen them all. In time that will actually be true; this nation is about to take a giant step closer to that stark reality.
