ANAHEIM : Weeklong Cleanup Will Begin Friday
- Share via
The city’s code enforcement division, a neighborhood group and volunteers are organizing a weeklong cleanup of central Anaheim beginning Friday.
The city and the Central City Neighborhood Council will place trash bins for use by residents in an area bordered by Santa Ana Street, La Palma Avenue, Harbor Boulevard and East Street. Bulky items can be placed in the bins, which will be picked up on Sept. 27.
For those unable to lift their trash, volunteers from the Set Free Christian Fellowship and Hope House will come out and place the material in the bins. To request help, call (714) 254-5158 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
No hazardous waste such as paint, cleaning fluid or automobile fluids may be placed in the bins. Toxic materials can be taken free of charge to Anaheim Disposal’s hazardous waste site, 1131 N. Blue Gum St. Its hours are 9 a.m to 1 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
