World IN BRIEF : NICARAGUA : Ex-Sandinistas Held on Arms Charges

Five former Sandinista Army officers are in custody accused of stealing missiles and other arms to sell to Colombian rebels, the government said. It was the third time in 20 months that former members of Nicaragua’s army were charged with stealing weapons to sell to leftist guerrilla groups abroad.
