Love in the Moscow Afternoon: The NBC soap “Santa Barbara” starts taping three shows in Moscow today, the first time a daytime soap has ever been filmed in the Soviet Union. The shows, which will air in mid-October, feature interviews with real-life Soviet citizens for a storyline about a Santa Barbara news station. Viewers in the Soviet Union will be able to experience the world of steamy U.S. soaps when “Santa Barbara” begins airing there on Dec. 1.
