To Davis: “No Regrets for Trying to Save the Earth” was, indeed a passionate and scholarly plea that sincerely came from your heart as well as your mind.
I regret that you and others like you will be wasting away in a cell for the next several years when you could have been out in the world . . . speaking, teaching, writing . . . working in the areas of the world that need your knowledge, your willingness to work for Earth preservation, your enthusiasm. This is the greatest waste of all!
Some of us “listened,” Mark, not to your deed, but to your words. Thanks for the column. Keep writing. You’ll be surprised how many more are listening!
