CHECK THIS: Rep. Robert K. Dornan, who has denounced congressional check bouncers as “jerks,” now says he must count himself among them. The House bank, where congressmen repeatedly bounced checks without penalty, turned up an overdraft “of less than $1,000” involving a check Dornan wrote to pay for a back-yard landscaping project. . . . “I’m still 99 55/100 percent pure,” Dornan insists.
