Harassment and Confirmation Hearings

Ever since Anita Hill came forward with allegations of sexual harassment against Clarence Thomas, there have been cries that men just don’t get it. I am afraid, however, that men get it all too well.
Sexual harassment, like rape, is not an issue of sex; it is an issue of power and domination used to keep women off balance and in their place. Judging from the number of women who have maligned Hill and who continue to vote for politicians opposed to women’s rights, the problem is not that men don’t get it--it is that too many women still don’t get it.
