CAMARILLO : Bomb Destroys Car but Injures No One
- Share via
A Molotov cocktail was tossed into a parked car in Camarillo early Tuesday, injuring no one but destroying the vehicle, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman said.
Joe Solomon, 24, of Camarillo was not in his 1983 Ford Mustang when it was firebombed about 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, Sheriff’s Detective Keith Lazz said.
Although one of Solomon’s friends tried to put the fire out with a garden hose, the vehicle was a complete loss by the time firefighters arrived, Lazz added.
Investigators from the Ventura County Fire Department are analyzing evidence found on Glenn Drive near the scene of the fire, chief fire Investigator Larry Titus said. Titus declined to comment on what evidence had been found.
There are no suspects or known motives for the crime, Titus said.
