Air-Quality Controls
South Coast Air Quality Management District officials claim they are taking the heat for the current recession (Nov. 7). They propose to ease their controls and streamline the permit process. An efficient anything makes good common sense, but relaxing our air-quality controls so that businesses won’t move out of state? This won’t resolve California’s recessionary problems. If the smog levels continue to increase will anyone want to work here?
