Four more area high school standouts have signed national letters of intent with NCAA Division I schools.

Thousand Oaks point guard Michelle Palmisano (5-10) signed Monday to play basketball at UCLA. Palmisano, the Ventura County girls’ player of the year last season, also considered scholarship offers from USC, Arizona and Cal. A three-year letterman, she averaged 25 points in leading Thousand Oaks to a 28-4 record and the Southern Section Division I-A title last season.
Brodie VanWagenen, an infielder at Crespi, signed to play baseball next year at Stanford. VanWagenen batted .330 and was an All-Mission League selection as a junior. Palmisano and VanWagenen are honor students.
Alemany shortstop Krista Gomez signed with Arizona, the defending Division I softball champion. Gomez, who was the Mission League’s most valuable player as a junior and is a two-time All-Southern Section selection, has 16 career home runs.
