Jason Gore of Valencia squandered a three-hole lead over Tiger Woods and lost a quarterfinal match, 1-up, Saturday in the Rolex Junior Golf Classic at Tucson.
Woods, from Cypress, rallied for a two-hole lead before Gore evened the match as they headed to 18.
Gore put his approach shot over the green on 18, and Woods left his on the fringe. Gore then pitched to within three feet, but Woods nailed the 13-foot putt for the winning birdie.
In the girls’ division, Emilee Klein of Studio City advanced to today’s semifinals with victories over Betty Chen (1-up) and Skyli Yamada (4 and 3).
