THE BOOK TRAIL: Oliver L. North’s White House days could hardly have been busier than the tour promoting his best-selling autobiography, “Under Fire: An American Story.” He started his Orange County swing Monday at the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace (B3). “The welcome here is a lot better than I got on the Donahue show,” North joked. Today, North, above, is signing copies of his book in Mission Viejo and Irvine in the morning and Costa Mesa and Anaheim in the afternoon.
