Long Beach : 17-Year-Old Sentenced for 25 Counts of Robbery, Rape

A 17-year-old rapist has been sentenced to 254 years and four months in prison for a string of robbery-rapes involving four women in Long Beach’s Belmont Shore area. According to prosecutors, Roosevelt Moore of Long Beach is likely to spend the rest of his life in prison for the crimes.
Moore was convicted last week in Long Beach Superior Court of 25 felonies, including forcible rape, kidnap and attempted robbery. According to testimony, during the rape of one woman the rapist asked her if she would be his girlfriend.
Authorities said that Moore will spend about five years with the California Youth Authority before being transferred to state prison.
