2 From El Camino Real Named to Girls’ All-City Volleyball Team

Heather Allen and Jessica Dinaberg of El Camino Real High have been named to the All-City Section 4-A Division girls’ volleyball team.

Allen, a senior setter, and Dinaberg, a sophomore outside hitter, helped lead El Camino Real to the 4-A final. The pair were joined by five other area players earning All-City honors.

In the 4-A, second-team selections were: Cleveland’s Michelle Diana, a senior outside hitter, and Janette Penfield, a sophomore middle blocker; and Jody Paperno, a senior middle blocker for Chatsworth.

In the 3-A, Traycie Kusal and Jenna Panatier of Van Nuys received first- and second-team recognition, respectively. The senior outside hitters helped guide Van Nuys to the 3-A semifinals.
