Brea-Olinda 2, Valencia 1--Mike Brunet scored two second-half goals, the second coming with 10 minutes remaining for visiting Brea-Olinda (6-8-3, 2-1-2).

In Sunset League boys’ soccer:

Marina 2, Huntington Beach 0 (OT)--Taj Jakins and Chris Hames each scored in the second overtime period for Marina (13-5-3, 3-3-1).

Ocean View 1, Edison 0--Chris Martin volleyed a 12-yard shot over the goalie’s head to score for Ocean View (14-4-3, 7-0-1) with two minutes left.

In Orange League boys’ basketball:

Brea-Olinda 47, Valencia 46--With 2.8 seconds remaining, Gilbert Arriola made one of two free throws to give Brea-Olinda (9-12, 4-1) a 47-46 lead. Matt Arias’ desperation half-court shot missed at the buzzer for host Valencia (9-8, 2-3).

Savanna 70, Magnolia 69--Savanna (4-1 in league) squeaked by Magnolia (1-4) thanks to some key turnovers late in the fourth quarter. Keith Midboe hit a foul shot to put the game away for the Rebels with 12 seconds left. Tobie Priest had 27 points and Marlin Watson had 21 points and 13 rebounds for Savanna.

In Arrowhead League boys’ basketball:

Calvary Chapel 75, Leffingwell Christian 74--After trailing by 11 points with two minutes remaining, Calvary Chapel (15-4, 8-0) scored the winning points on John O’Brien’s four-footer with 18 seconds remaining.

In Arrowhead League girls’ basketball:

Calvary Chapel 79, Leffingwell Christian 29--Blythe Linsey scored 26 points and had 21 rebounds and four blocked shots for Calvary Chapel (14-3, 7-0).
