A female acquaintance has accused San Francisco 49er owner Edward DeBartolo Jr. of assaulting her in his suburban San Francisco home, police said.
Menlo Park police are investigating the allegation, but no charges have been filed, according to Det. Dominick Peloso.
The woman, whose name was withheld, told police DeBartolo assaulted her about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday at his Menlo Park residence, about 25 miles south of San Francisco.
