ORANGE : City Clerk Has Data on Ballot Measures

Arguments for two measures slated for the June 2 ballot can be reviewed in the city clerk’s office at City Hall through Friday.
The first measure, supported by the City Council, would change the office of city treasurer from an elective to an appointive one.
In general-law cities such as Orange, the treasurer’s office is elective unless a majority of voters approve changing it to appointive.
The second measure concerns a $25-million bond issue that would be used to acquire about 37 acres for a park in central Orange.
