Nebraska may offer to forfeit at least one scholarship for having played fullback Omar Soto in the 1991 football season.
Soto was found to be ineligible just before the Orange Bowl last season when it was learned that he played in a scrimmage at Mount San Jacinto Junior College in California, even though he never enrolled at the school. The participation was ruled by the NCAA to constitute a full year of eligibility, although national junior college rules do not have the same stipulation.
