Lawrence A. Jones, who has headed the in-house TV movie unit at Fox Broadcasting Co., has been picked to become president of Fox Basic Cable, which will develop programming for new cable TV channels.
He will report to Lucie Salhany, chairman of Twentieth Television. Jones, 40, had been president of FNM Films since 1990 and before that was a senior vice president of business affairs at Twentieth TV.
