Hurwitz Reportedly Interested in Continental Air: An investment group led by Houston financier Charles E. Hurwitz has reportedly made a proposal to buy a majority stake in financially troubled Continental Airlines. According to a story in the Houston Post, Hurwitz submitted the plan to management and creditors at Continental, which has operated under Chapter 11 bankruptcy court protection since December, 1990. Spokesmen for Continental and Hurwitz declined to comment.
