Olympian King Is New Flame Coach

The Calgary Flames Friday hired Dave King, who coached Canada’s Olympic hockey team to a silver medal this year, as the NHL franchise’s eighth head coach in 20 years and fourth in three years.
King, 44, spent nine seasons as coach and general manager of Canada’s national team. He also was being considered for NHL coaching jobs in Toronto and with the expansion team in Ottawa.
