AFI Awards: Writer-producer Fay Kanin and production designer Richard Sylbert will receive honorary degrees at the American Film Institute’s commencement today on the AFI campus. AFI’s third annual Charles W. Fries Television Producer of the Year Award goes to Roger Gimbel, who has more than 500 television shows and films to his credit.
