Bus service connecting the Anaheim Stadium Amtrak station with some of the city’s major employers is scheduled to begin July 6, the Orange County Transportation Authority has announced.
The goal of the program is to lure Anaheim workers who live in South County out of their cars by making it convenient for them to take the train from San Juan Capistrano, officials said.
Buses will pick up passengers at the Anaheim station at 6:35 a.m., 7:10 a.m. and 8:18 a.m. Monday through Friday, shortly after the three trains arrive. The train trip takes about 30 minutes.
The buses will return passengers to the station beginning at 2:53 p.m. and continuing until 7 p.m.
The buses will go through the Stadium Business Park and to Odetics Inc., Disneyland and the hotel and Anaheim Convention Center district, then to the Civic Center.
Cost of the bus ride will be 30 cents. Train tickets will be $7 one way and $12 round trip. Ten-ride passes will be available for $59.
