Real Talk, Not ‘Art Talk’

I enjoy art critic Cathy Curtis’ feisty independence and professionalism. She works at establishing solid reference to the works she is viewing and consequently avoids “art talk” that obfuscates.
But most of all, I admire her ability to communicate honest reactions. Her piece on Craig Owens (“List of AIDS Victims Hits at the Heart,” June 15) moved me to tears--and to write.
