Jorge Paez will meet Brian Brown in the featured bout at the Forum on Monday night.

Paez (40-4-4, 27 knockouts) is the former International Boxing Federation featherweight champion. Brown, of Lexington, Ky., is 18-12-1 with six KOs.

Dave Dixon (12-2, 10 KOs) of Los Angeles and Mike Faulkner (10-5, nine KOs) of Memphis will meet in a heavyweight bout. Ike Quartey (18-0, 18 KOs) of Ghana and Jesus Carenas (15-3-1, 13 KOs) of Mexico will meet in a super lightweight bout.

The card begins at 7.

The Southern California Slo-Two-Pitch Softball Assn. will hold tournaments Sept. 12, Oct. 17 and Nov. 7 at Wilson Park in Torrance.

South Bay Youth Basketball will conduct its basketball shooting and fundamentals camp for boys and girls in grades one through eight from noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Aug. 28 at Manhattan Beach Intermediate School.

The camp director is Allan Major, an assistant coach at Cal Lutheran and former assistant at Purdue.

The cost is $85 including T-shirts and awards.

Registration is under way for the 1992 Summer Soccer Academy, a camp for youths age 5 to 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 31-Sept. 4 at La Marina Field in Manhattan Beach.
