PACOIMA : Freeway Crash Kills Granada Hills Girl

A Granada Hills teen-ager was killed when the car she was riding in smashed into a guardrail and flipped over on the Simi Valley Freeway in Pacoima, authorities said Monday.
Faith Faulk, 17, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred about 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Los Angeles County Coroner’s Investigator Nils Linder said.

Traffic accident--There was an error in The Times’ Valley Community Briefs on Tuesday, Sept. 1 in a report on a traffic accident that killed a Granada Hills teen-ager in Pacoima. No charges have been filed against the driver of the auto involved.
The car was traveling west on the freeway west of Glenoaks Boulevard when the driver lost control and it slid off the freeway, struck the guardrail, and overturned. Faulk was thrown out.
Three other female passengers were taken to Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills and are expected to survive, Linder said. Their names were not available.
The driver has been charged with vehicular manslaughter, aLinder said.
