SOUTH GATE : Trash Pickups on Some Holidays

Trash and recyclable materials will now be collected in South Gate on several holidays.
Pickups are scheduled on Veterans Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day and Labor Day, said Maureen O’Connor, the city’s public information manager.
The new collection schedule will not apply to Thanksgiving, Christmas, the Fourth of July, New Year’s Day and Memorial Day. Trash will be collected on the day after those holidays.
