And Now, Menopause: Let CBS’ “Murphy Brown” deal with single motherhood. Over on ABC’s “Room for Two,” the theme of an upcoming episode will be menopause. In the story, the talk-show star played by Linda Lavin is gearing up to host a telethon with Dick Cavett. Meanwhile, she’s also coming to grips with the fact that she’s going through menopause, and when she experiences a hot flash on the air during the telethon, she makes a very public admission. Cavett guests as himself in the segment, scheduled for a Nov. 5 airing.
