Temple City : Plants to Be Replaced

Among the first steps to trim the city budget by $100,000, the City Council Tuesday decided to replace rented live plants in government buildings with plastic plants and change the city newsletter from a magazine to a newspaper.
The council unanimously approved an initial round of cuts, totaling $38,750, but put off consideration of additional cuts until Oct. 20.
