COLLEGE FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : UCLA : LaChapelle Still Undecided
- Share via
Wide receiver Sean LaChapelle, who cracked a rib in last week’s 23-3 defeat at Arizona, participated in non-contact drills Wednesday but hasn’t decided if he will play in Saturday’s night’s game against Stanford at the Rose Bowl.
LaChapelle will probably wait until pregame warm-ups before making a decision and probably will wear a protective vest if he plays.
Stanford Coach Bill Walsh is 1-1 against UCLA’s Terry Donahue. In his first stint at Stanford before going to the San Francisco 49ers, the Cardinal defeated UCLA, 33-28, at Stanford in 1977, and the Bruins edged the Cardinal, 27-26, in 1978 at the Coliseum. . . . Stanford’s Glyn Milburn, averaging 203.6 yards per game in all-purpose yardage, is on pace to break the Pacific 10 Conference’s single-season all-purpose yardage mark of 2,259 yards, set by Marcus Allen of USC in 1981. . . . UCLA tailback Kevin Williams, who has rushed for 1,949 yards in his college career, needs 36 yards to move into ninth-place on the school’s career rushing list. . . . Bruin tight end Rick Daly, who had 13 receptions last season, has caught 11 passes this season.
