Train Noise
As my residence is within two miles of LAX, the San Diego Freeway and under a helicopter flight path, I empathize with those who hear the Blue Line traverse their residences.
However, I realize that this is the price of my living in Los Angeles; people must move around the city and from city to city. While I support regulations to curb noise from all sources, as a mass-transit rider, and as a resident of Los Angeles worried about smog and traffic congestion, future plans for light rails should not be curtailed due to their noise.
We must change our commuting habits from single-passenger cars to less polluting and congestive modes of transportation, and a light rail is one prime way to do so.
