A Sylmar man is being held without bail on suspicion of shooting a man to death Tuesday night in Northridge, Los Angeles police said.
Glenn Allen Gearhart, 18, was arrested in the Northridge home of Joel Langford and Sandy Goodwin following the shooting of Michael Aguirre, 28, of Woodland Hills.
Police said Gearhart and Aguirre were arguing in the Langford-Goodwin residence at 17150 Septo St. shortly after 8 p.m. Patrol officers, overhearing a radio call directing an ambulance to the house, went to investigate. Police did not say who made the call.
Aguirre, who had been shot several times in the upper torso with a large caliber pistol, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Neither Gearhart nor Aguirre lived in the house near Louise Avenue and Lassen Street, said homicide Detective John Cameron.
Langford and Goodwin, who are brother and sister, have lived in the home more than 20 years.
Police said no further details were available.
