Falling Tree Crushes Woman in Her Home

EUGENE, Ore. — A woman on the couch in her living room was crushed to death by a 90-foot-tall Douglas fir tree that fell through her house, police said.
Rebecca Coleen Shelquist, 33, was either napping or watching TV on Saturday when the tree crashed into the three-story duplex, police said.
A neighbor said he had notified the area neighborhood association that the tree was beginning to lean and made a video of it, but nothing was done.
