Earnings Up at Jacobs Engineering: Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. said net income for its first quarter ended Dec. 31 rose 18% to $6.7 million, or 28 cents a share, from $5.7 million, or 24 cents, in the year-earlier period. Revenue increased to $284.9 million from $253.7 million. Earnings for the quarter matched the mean estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research. Pasadena-based Jacobs provides engineering, design, construction and maintenance services relating to the environment, hazardous waste, aerospace and chemical industries.
