COLLEGE BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Okenwa Helps The Master’s Stay Hot

Emeka Okenwa scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to help The Master’s College defeat host Cal Baptist, 63-53, in a National Assn. of Intercollegiate Athletics District 3 game Thursday night.
The Master’s, which has won seven of eight games, improved to 13-9, 7-2 in district play.
Rogerio Soares had 13 points and seven rebounds, and David Humphreys added 10 points, eight assists and three steals for the Mustangs, who sank 18 of 20 free throws, most of them in the final five minutes.
The Master’s shot 52% in the second half. Cal Baptist (6-12, 3-7) shot 33% for the game.
WOMEN
The Master’s 63, Southern California College 61--Deborah Prociw scored 21 points, and Audrey McMurray added 16 for The Master’s in an NAIA District 3 game.
McMurray, who sank seven of 11 shots, led The Master’s (7-11) with nine rebounds. Prociw added eight, and Krissi Trower had five assists.
