Disneyland Resort Boon to Economy, Deserves Support

The public must know that jobs, growth, improved infrastructure and tourism money resulting from (the proposed Disneyland expansion project) benefit the community greatly and cost the community little, if anything.
In an era when myriad businesses flee the stranglehold of excessive regulation and confiscatory taxation of California, when long-established local companies are granted specific tax breaks for staying here and those fleeing are similarly attracted to distant destinations which promise significant tax and regulation relief, I applaud anyone daring enough to propose any new enterprise, let alone one as massive and beneficial as this.
Many have accused Disneyland of greed and cunning in the pursuit of this undertaking; these unthinking criticisms I find offensive. On the contrary, I applaud Disney for even considering such a significant engineering and construction task in an urban area where such a huge host of permit and regulatory issues must receive design “overkill” just to get consideration.
Disney, by proposing such intense public-private cooperation, should be considered courageous, perhaps even altruistic, for pursuing this spectacular expansion.
We must thank Disney, not complain about them or second-guess their motives.
