‘Phantom’ Friends: Seven ensemble cast members from “The Phantom of the Opera” in Los Angeles will head to San Diego on March 1 to give a benefit performance for the San Diego Repertory Theatre in Lyceum Theatre. They will perform selections from “Carmen” and music by Gershwin, Sondheim, Bernstein, Rodgers and Lloyd Webber. The San Diego Rep hopes to raise $35,000 from the show, toward a June 30 goal of $280,000 that is needed to complete the 1992-93 season and reduce an accumulated deficit of $360,000.
