PALMDALE : Survey Targets Mobile Home Parks
- Share via
Palmdale will survey its 1,900 mobile home owners to determine the legitimacy of recent complaints.
Housing Development Coordinator Carol Seidl said Friday the city will mail a survey to each resident in the city’s 10 mobile home parks within three weeks.
The survey was recommended by a mobile home parks committee that the city formed six months ago to deal with complaints of abuses by park owners and managers.
The survey will query mobile home owners about the city’s rent-control law, which allows space rents to be decontrolled when homes are sold or vacated; park pet rules, and park security. It will also ask if park managers are responsive to reported problems.
A report of survey results will be given to the City Council by the end of May, Seidl said.
