Job Training Agency Gets Marketing Award

The Foothill Private Industry Council, based in Pasadena, has been honored for outstanding marketing by the State Job Training Coordinating Council, which oversees the 52 Private Industry Councils.
The marketing involved an advertising campaign that was produced by the foothill council for use by 11 councils in the Los Angeles area. Marketing Director Katie Safford received the Blue Star Marketing Award.
The Private Industry Council is made up of government, business, education and labor leaders who oversee an annual $2.7-million federal grant for job training and placement of west San Gabriel Valley residents.
