Wayne Rainey of the United States fought off the blistering heat at the Shah Alam Motor Racing Circuit at Kuala Lumpur to win the Malaysian Grand Prix.
The 32-year-old world champion won his 21st Grand Prix on a Yamaha, riding the 33-lap, 69.393-mile race for 500cc bikes in 44 minutes 54.102 seconds.
