DCC Compact Classics Reports 1st-Quarter Profit

DCC Compact Classics Inc. in Northridge reported a large increase in profit for the first quarter, to $257,188 from $38,345 a year earlier, on a 30% gain in revenue.
DCC, which makes musical compact discs, said sales during the three months that ended March 31 rose to $1.7 million from $1.3 million a year earlier.
The company said it increased sales of its 24k Gold Series and other new products, and improved profit margins with a better product mix.
