Booth in Third at Golf Tournament

Kellee Booth of Coto de Caza shot one-over-par 73, putting her in third place, a stroke out of the lead at the Golf for Women magazine girls’ championship Saturday in Tucson, Ariz.
Betty Chen of La Quinta and Skyli Yamada of Sandy, Utah, each shot 72 on the El Conquistador Country Club course and are tied for the lead after the first of three rounds.
Alicia Allison of Santa Ana, who shot 76, is tied for fifth.

Fullerton’s Jin Park shot two-over 74 and is in second place after the first round of the American Junior Golf Assn. tournament at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.
Park is one shot behind leader Nicholas Caccini of Atlanta. Play in the 54-hole tournament will run through Monday.
