2 Teen-Agers Wounded in Shooting as Fight Breaks Out on Picnic Beach

LAGUNA BEACH — Two teen-agers were wounded in a shooting early Monday on Picnic Beach, a sandy area next to Heisler Park, police said.
In a fight that may have been gang-related, authorities said, an 18-year-old Riverside woman was shot in the chest and a 17-year old boy whose hometown was not given was shot in the leg. Their names were not released pending notification of their families. Their medical conditions were not known Monday, Sgt. Bob Rahaeuser said.
Police responding just after midnight to the shooting found the two victims lying in the sand and a group of teen-agers on the beach, Rahaeuser said. No one has been arrested, and the investigation is continuing.
