Caged Bear Kills Keeper in Russian Forest Reserve

Reuters

A caged bear attacked and killed its keeper over the weekend at a forestry reserve near Vladivostok in Russia’s Far East, the Itar-Tass news agency said Monday.

The male bear, normally tame and friendly, turned on the keeper as the man entered the cage to feed it. It was the second time a bear had killed a keeper in two years in the Orlinoye reserve.
