3-Vehicle Accident Kills Man, Injures 2

HUNTINGTON BEACH — A 22-year-old man died Wednesday after a van collided with a car and his pickup truck, which toppled onto a curb and partially ejected him, police said.
The victim, whose name was withheld pending notification of relatives, died of massive head injuries at Ellis Avenue and Newland Street about 1:30 p.m., Sgt. Val Birkett said.
A Plymouth van was southbound on Newland and collided with the pickup truck and a Honda, both of which had been eastbound on Ellis Avenue, Birkett said.
The two other drivers were treated for minor injuries, he said.
No one was arrested in the accident. Anyone with information is asked to call (714) 536-5663.
