S&L; Builds on Home Loans: Plaza Home Mortgage Bank continues to build its presence as a leading provider of loans to home buyers.
The Santa Ana savings and loan has opened offices in Arcadia and San Jose, giving it 33 loan offices in California and nine other states. It is California’s sixth-largest home mortgage lender and the nation’s 18th largest.
Plaza’s expansion to other states has helped it to produce ever-higher results in various performance categories. Last month, for instance, it funded $748 million in home loans and had applications for $1.4 billion in loans--a company record.
