Syncor Posts Record Sales, Earnings in 1st Quarter

Syncor International Corp., a Chatsworth operator of nuclear-pharmacy service centers, posted record sales and earnings for its fiscal 1994 first quarter, crediting continued growth of nuclear medicine procedures.
For the three months that ended Aug. 31, Syncor’s net income rose 17%, to $2.9 million, compared with net income of $2.4 million in the first quarter of last year.
Syncor said its sales in the quarter climbed almost 9%, to $60.5 million from $55.7 million in the same period last year.
